Hi, aj153,
40 pounds in 6 months is an average of about
.2380 pounds per day
or 1.6666 pounds per week. That's an excellent goal to try to obtain, don't you think? With a controlled weight loss like that, I doubt that you would even need to supplement your diet with vitamins or minerals if you were working with a bariatrician, especially if you rely heavily on a treadmill. But I'd ask someone who has knowledge of recommended desirable weight loss averages per week if I were you. A nutritionist at the hospital would probably tell you with just a phone call to the hospital asking to speak to her/him would probably do it.
The more you workout on your treadmill, the more you will lose, as you know. And the more you workout, the greater your desire to work on the treadmill becomes. Exercise breeds exercise, I found.
Tell me, please, what motivated you to get back on the treadmill?
I have one that I look at each morning and turn and walk away from.
Sheer fear, I think, of all the work--foolishness, I know, for me.
Maybe I'll try again, too.
I.G.
