Hi,

I am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone had experience taking Abilify. I am currently on 1200 mg of Lithium (600 BID). I had been using Seroquel as needed for agitation, but it really knocks me out. I am in a rigorous graduate school program and I can't afford not to be thinking sharply during the day.

My question: I need to start taking the Abilify..and I am not sure how to. I have been subscribed 2mg to start. If I take it for the first time in the morning will I able to work/study. I am in my final year of NP school..and when I work I HAVE to be fully present.

Istarted on 2mg in am and had no problems beside a little nausea,but I get that on every medication. I felt more focused and clear headed. After 2 weeks, I went up to 5mg but I know people up to 30 mg. It is a good choice. Ionly take seroquel at night.

Wow, really. It helped you to focus more. Thank you for your quick response. Do you take a baseline drug too? Do you notice interactions?

I am also just starting on 2mg. Looking forward to being more focused!!!!!

on 30mg of abilify. without it i would not be able to study or focus at all. take seroquel as well at night, actually tapering, on lithium and tegretol. give it some time and it will help. excellent medication i find abilify as, excellent. welcome from me too. jamie
