What the heck is wrong with me?!?!?!   I am unemployed but just put $600 on my credit card today because I felt the need to buy expensive Christmas presents for my mom and my boyfriend.  

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's funny that I won't spend money on little things.  I've been doing really well about that.  But when it comes to charging $100s of dollars, I swipe away.  

Time to hide my credit card from myself.

yikes! I'm with Red. Return what you can. Speaking as a mom, we don't need expensive presents. I am sure that she just wants you healthy.

Hi Hun, You'll either need to get better medicated or volunteer for someone to manage your finances. It's called damage control - and it is what all of us need to do to break they cycle of worsening bipolar. Good luck xxx

Return them, your bf abnd Mom will only worry about you. I have frozen my credit cards in a big block of ice in the freezer. If I needed them so badly, I could have waited for the ice to melt.

Hi Curlyjenn - I am with the others - try and return the presents. I am hyper (so everyone tells me). I have given my credit cards to my wife coz i am itching to go on a spending spree.

I feel great but I have to admitt that on one occassion I believed I was a proffesional gambler and blew £3.000 in a week. That and similar spending sprees led to a divorce. I have since remarried to a loving and supporting spouse whom i trust implicitly. She and the pdoc think i am high so i have made sure that i have no access to money.

Well, I can't return the concert tickets I bought my boyfriend. Those are non-refundable.

As for my mom's gift....I could return it, but it's so beautiful. I talked to my Dad about it today, he said not to return the item, that if I needed it he would help me pay for it.

Now I just have to keep from spending anymore.

Can you craigs list the ticket? Might be an option if you need to get the money out of them.

I already gave the tickets to my boyfriend. That's what he asked for for Christmas...he just doesn't know how much I spent. He would be furious with me if he knew.

But on a better note, as of today --- I am employed again!!!!
