The next time you are able to see your psychiatrist, Peter, please ask about
a food medication called Deplin. It's very helpful for many of us. (See Deplin.com) to find out about
its benefits.
In the meantime, before you're able to see your doctor, you might want to add 5htptryptophan to your sleep med schedule for a while. It's the only one that can cross the blood-brain barrier and may give you more rest to combat the stress. (It's an over-the-counter medication; plain tryptophan won't do it; it requres the 5htptryptophan to be effective.)
The whole range of vitamin B series is excellent for the nervous system. It helps me tremendously, and I can feel the calmness overnight after taking, particularly, a liquid B12. (The whole range is better, however.)
I hope you get some relief before seeing your physician.
Take care of yourself and give yourself what you need to feel better--that is, what's good for you!
I.G.
