Been a huge avocate of excersising for the last 20 years. It doesnt matter what you do, hike, bike, run, swim, rock climb, whatever. It all helps you feel better. Both body, and soul. Alot of times its all about making yourself move your butt and turning off the boob tube.
Last night i had that, i was tired, weather was iffy, good tv on net flix. I had every reason to stay in the house on the couch. But i got my butt moving and went for a mtn bike ride. Half way thru a huge storm rolls in, im far out in the woods, no way back but the way i came in. First thing i hear is the huge wind coming thru the trees, then the rain and thunder start. Within moments i was soaked, and the trail turned into a thin mud soup that i got everywhere. But you know what? I was smiling, riding in the rain in the dark ( i had lights on) for the next 45 minutes. It was epic. It was fantastic, and i will remember it for a long time. I will not remember sitting on the couch watching tv ten years from now.
Eating better. I am a late comer to this, but i am starting to really see the benifits of healthier eating. My body likes it better, i am healing quicker (Krav Maga tends to leave bruises) LOL LOL LOL and my whole body just feels better. Also i have lost 15 pounds the last two months. Giving up a lot of preparred foods and going fresh has helped alot. I havnt given it up all together, i still love the taste of the occasional stoffers mac and cheese meal. LOL LOL Also i only have fast food about once a week now. And then i get it with the big puppy there, so i have to share, which means i get about half the food. LOL LOL LOL
Anyway, just a post to fill the day. Life is good.
