It finally was just to much. I loved meeting new people and selling bikes (Big box chain), and my original managers made it a great place to work and feel appreciated.
Unfortunally the same old story, new managment comes in and is an azzhat. Young man, trying to move up the corporate ladder. Had all the people skills of freddy kruger.
It was time to go when i couldnt get plain old regular 26" shrader valve tubes for over three months. (Still havnt recived them) Ditto for kickstands, and try getting a bike that isnt a 17" or a 19" Apparently corporate is convenced that that is all anyone every rides.
But the plus side is that i got one guy trained up to my level on building bikes, and if they dont free up some money they will lose him also. I got to introduce a ton of people to great bikes at affordable prices, and where needed i sent people to local shops if we didnt have what they wanted or needed.
So instead of part time work, ill be riding, hiking with Thor, and leading bike rides for my local club.
Ive been working extra jobs for over seven years, i think its time to take a step back and relax for a bit.
I spent six weeks dealing with this guy, hoping it would get better. It got so i absolutly hated going into work. 9.50 an hour wasnt worth the headache involved.
Thank god, No BP problems at all
