I've never seen them come in tablets, just capsules. It's just oil.. it can hurt. Also if money is a factor, I think it might be cheaper to get it only in oil form and just take a teaspoon of whatever each day. I think your prob might be one of those delicious "easy fix" ones that we all hang out for :).
Because I have been knocked back for transplant (and any symptom management) due to the conservative party ripping the guts out of our brilliant socialised health care system in Queensland, Australia, I only have natural therapies to rely on to help me manage encephalopathy. I take 20,000 mg of Cranberry pd, to keep the UTI under control. ATM Inner Health Plus is managing the constipation but I do need to get some more digestive enzymes to help me (especially when my liver doesn't work).
I take Vit D and Iron because they came up as deficient on a blood test. Potassium also came up deficient and I have to get on to that too. Soo much wrong, it is tough to keep up with managing it all, when so sick. I'm lucky that I have savings, which I can "blow" now that I'm terminal.
Speaking of which. I have a friend in New Zealand. She has been hit very hard by my prognosis and being turned away from transplant without explanation. Same sex marriage is legal there and it would get me access to their health care system. New Zealand does live hepatic transplant. She is willing to do a live liver and kidney donation. Life has got a lot bizarre for me! lol. Never thought I'd be proposed to by a woman; being a hetrosexual woman haha :)
Back to alternative health care, I also have a friend who is helping me research ways to clear my blood given my organs can't do it for me. I'm already taking chlorophyll but he is suggesting apple cider vinegar and bicarb of soda. Bipolar is different to encephalopathy, so it isn't really relevant here. Also it is good to run these things by our doctors. They have advanced knowledge about the functioning of our bodies and we can't just tell them half the story. I think it is respectful to include them in every consideration and decision we make... but I am extraordinarily lucky to have that collaborative relationship with each doctor on my medical team.
Sorry to hijack your thread about my stuff. I've just woken up for the day and my subconscious has processed stuff for me to purge and express lol.
Depending on your health care system your bloods should take about a few days to get back. Let me know how you get on!
Cheers :)
