My Grandmother passed away this morning

She was 97 years old and passed quietly in her sleep. I wrote something short and simple, but plan to write something more if I can completely get over the writers block that I am feeling.

97 years, In 97 years you have accomplished a lot, were a Daughter, a Sister, An Aunt, Wife, Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. 97 years to live, to love. You loved your family, your friends and above all else you loved God. Today you are taking a stroll through the heavenly gardens, and are at peace at last. Love you always Nan. xoxoxo

I am sorry honey for your loss. This may seem silly to say but she had 97 wonderful years of life to celebrate. I am so sorry honey

I have written and am speaking a 'eulogy' type thing at the funeral. I may share.

Thank you everyone for the kinds words. The last family viewing is at 11 am, and her service is at 2 tomorrow afternoon.

I am doing well, the funeral went well and the reading of the eulogy went very well. I managed to speak clearly and get through it without breaking down, though I made many of the mourners cry, they remembered her well.

I was told by many it was the best or one of the best tributes they have ever heard, so that really meant a lot.
