All the people reading , but not responding....

 hello Beeper friends,

I have an idea. I love this forum and the great people. I see that we have so many people that view the posts but don't reply. I can understand! But I just want to say that we enjoy new faces, and we are all very supportive. You can even be a family member of someone with BP, or have a friend with BP, we are all here to help. Offer an opinion, share a story, help, give advice (if ya want it) , I would just like to see more people ! I can understand if you are not ready or want to remain anonymous too though.I just thought I would remind everyone we are all still here and there's plenty of room for newbies , and we would love to see some of the others retuning. Maybe ones I never even had the opportunity to meet. Come one , Come all.....

Hi Everyone!

I saw this thread and just had to stop by and say Hi! You may have seen me in the Heart and Cardiovascular forum or the Allergy forum, but my name is Teri and though I have never had this condition, I had a friend who's young child had BP.  I've lost contact over the years with her, but she was having a really rough time just getting the diagnosis in the beginning and then finding help was another big quest - she also had a younger child that was dealing with the rage of the older sibling!  So while I haven't walked in your shoes, I have had a glimpse and I know how tough this can be.

 

You mentioned that people stop by to view, but don't post and I wanted to toss an idea your way, that the admin. had suggested a while back to me.  In your Thread Titles, if you would put what the subject is more about?, perhaps that would make it easier for people stopping by to find the topic that they'd like to read and maybe respond to? I don't know for sure that this will help, but just an idea.

havent been posting...just busy with my art lately. And Im thinking alot about things. I have been processing all the information I have gotten about bipolar disorder, from this forum and others I visit. I do appreciate reading everything on here, you've no idea how much it has been helping me. Years of therapy have not helped me as much as posting here and exchanging with people who deal with this disorder every day....thank you for your generosity of spirit, it means so much.

my artwork is going really well...Im working pretty hard on it. It is a series of collages based on the Godzilla story, but applied to something that happened in my own life.

While my art career is prospering, my relationship is not going well at all. My show is New York City next week and you cannot imagine how excited I am about that. For an artist, that is pretty much the top of the heap. My BF who is BP is refusing to join me there...we have a long distance relationship and have not seen each other in six months. So I guess I should be smarter and understand what he is trying to tell me, in not so many words, that he doesnt think its that important to see me or to share this with me.

When I asked him why, he said that New York is too hot in the summertime. His dad was in hospital last month and is now at home, and he doesn't want to leave because of that as well. He lives in Ohio and it would be a relatively short distance for him to travel, (I am coming from Western Canada for the art show) but he is refusing to do that even for a couple of days. His sister and brother are in the same town as him, so it isnt like his parents are alone. Maybe I expect too much. And maybe Im refusing to see the truth and I am really not that important to him anymore.
