I was recently started on Wellbutrin 300 XL for depression. I am having excruciating headaches, light sensitivity to my eyes, and urinary problems.

The headaches keep me in bed most of the day, nearly every day. I need to wear a bed mask even though I have drawn all the blinds.

Does anyone experience the light sensitivity to the eyes, and have any urinary problems?

I have been on many medications over the years, still am but this is my first try on Wellbutrin. I really am at the end of my rope.

First, thank you so much for responding to my post. I called my psychiatrist's office before Easter, and left a message relaying my symptoms; when the office finally called me back, I was told to wait until my scheduled appointment on 5/15/14.

So, in the meantime, I am in extreme pain. I thought our docs were also supposed to manage our pain levels.

I'm trying to muddle through until the 5/15.

Welcome to the forum :-)!

I agree with what JB said about calling your doc. I'm sorry to hear what they told you when you called though. Your app is a little over 2 weeks away. Maybe you can try calling back again and letting them know that the symptoms are still there are causing you lots of pain. Hopefully if possible, your doc will see you before.

I hope you will get some pain relief.

You are absolutely correct in saying that your doctor should be there to give you support and help manage your level of extreme pain. Most assuredly I truly know how you feel, but for now you are your best advocate. Be good to yourself, there is no need to get worked up over conditions out of your control.

You see, another one of my problems is not wanting anyone to be mad at me. I am afraid that my doctor would not treat me anymore if I called and got too assertive.

However, I do believe that what you say is the truth; and going to the ER is frightening also because I don't want them to put me in the side that is too "rowdy" I also have anxiety and panic disorder with agoraphobia, and borderline personality disorder.

At any rate, I am thinking about the ER because I can't stand the pain; my doc is on staff at the hospital so if I am admitted, I will see her there ~ again will she be mad?

I appreciate all of the support and advice. I have needed this for many years.
