First and foremost I love all of you guys here. And I am SO happy to see the bipolar forum active. It is so nice to have a place to vent and to shair.
Shannon, Nickie, Pattie, Shannon, Nurs2b, Sandra, Ellie, putter, you guys are great. And I want to hear all of what you say whether you are having the worst day of your life or the the happiest day of your life. This is a SUPPORT group. (and please don't get offended if I left anyone off - there's just a lot of you guys now)
What I am seeing though is that when people don't get responded too like babybloo, or wotan, and add on the mood disorder issue, things get misunderstood.
That's why I suggested another moderator. A moderator is suppose to repond to most posts, to make new members feel welcome, and to prevent/stop bogus comming in (i.e. everyone take horney goat weed to cure your depression) -- or that's what I've seen in the lupus room, our moderators make sure these things are taken care of, and it works really well.
I think people might feel intimidated of a close nit group. Especially if they post and we may be having an off day, or are away and then they don't get responded too. Then our minds have a tendency to spin out of control, and everything bad turns to us and the things we do or are.
And Laura, I have nothing against you sweetie. I just think that adding another person, may help you especially if you are having a bad day. And especially since it's hard to keep up in here.
So please, nickie, I wasn't saying anything about you personally before and I hate that things get thought about that way. Please post whenever you feel like it, and however you are feeling. We love you!!!!
And to all the newbies, who have fealt abandoned or not noticed. We have a tough emotional illness in which our minds don't always allow us to think about what is really going on. And I'm sorry I have not responded to what you have posted. Or offered a post of welcome. But you are all welcome and hope that you stick with us through this time of growth.
I love you all, and hope your days are full of sunshine and roses.
Dana
