freakshow

Hello all.

I'm really depressed lately and I can't tell if it's my life situation (stay at home mom with husband who works a LOT) or a true depressive episode. I just feel no direction or stimulation. Just blank and wanting to lay under the covers all day. The kids even wonder why I look sad all the time.

The weird part is I just have this strong feeling that I was meant to live life traveling with a freakshow. Preforming fire breathing, on stage piercing and suspension acts, withstanding electrical currents, etc. I know it sounds really strange, but I know I could do these things. Does this sound like just average boredom with life or like and issue I should address with my doctor? I'm not even sure what is considered strange anymore. ;(

That life you described actually sounds exciting and cool. I don't find it strange. Sometimes we need change from our normal routines. We need to rejuvenate.
Maybe a vacation or some time out might be good for you. Getting on can help your moods.

HP, I like the freakshow "acts" that accompany those oddities. I know there aren't many true shows left. I'd probably have to end up in Venice Beach.

UA, I just came back from vacation actually and I think that made it a bit worse. I went from enjoying each day back to responsibilities and chores, etc. Anxiety and depression started kicking in then. I thought it was just being bummed that vacay was over, but its been about three weeks now.

Clovis, I do have a tendency toward some psychosis at times, but also very eclectic tastes, so I don't know which it is! ;) I did move up my pdoc appt tho. I'll be seeing him Monday. Can't wait.

what is strange about that ,,,,,, take an actor , full grown adults acting out roles almost childish but they are revered and admired and people hang on every word they say , and no why mention this to your doctor , his opinion may be , oh that's great , or it could be , hey your insane
