I need to apologize to everyone here

I need to apoligize to everyone on this board. I have not been responding to post like I should have been. Between my job keeping me at work late and being in a funk has keep me from responding like I should. I've waited 6 years for this board to grow and it finally has and I have been absent from that growth.

I'm thinking about going back on lamictal to help get me out of my funk. I just don't know if I can afford another med. I've been off of lamictal and wellbutrin since November and for a while was doing fine and getting by with very little depression but the past few months have come back to bite me in the butt.

I'll try to get more active with replying to post again and do what a moderator should do.

Hey don't feel bad. I think most of us here have been in a funk. I currently am feeling better from both my cold and BP. However that isn't to say in 2 minutes I could be worse. I truly understand and really don't think it is necessary for an apology. i hope you start to feel better, as I hope everyone does. Thanks for keeping in touch . Nickie

Hey, Laura, dont apologize!  I am sure you have read all the threads lately, we've ALL been sick!  Including me, miss stable, lol.  It's the time of year, fall and spring are a *****!

I'm glad you're back; we all need each other now  more than ever.  I swear everybody here keeps me sane, I look so forward to hearing how we're all doing and talking to the awesome friends I've made here.

Feel better, hon.  And do go back on the welbutrin/Lamictal, if nothing else, the lamictal since it has the stabilizing effect for going too low, and it won't cause the mania that welbutrin can in precarious times like fall.  I have to taper off it now due to the mixed episodes I've been having.

Hi Laura, I hope you are feeling better soon. We have all been having that funk. And like Shannon I too have been in the throes of a mixed episode. Scarey. I'm sorry that we haven't met before, I do hope we get the chance soon. Sandra

Laura,

Just want you to know that there is never a need for apologies here. Of all the places on the planet for us to feel out of place - this should be the last. Life is hard enough to keep together when you're feeling 'level' and 'average', but when you toss in all the crummy parts of BP - it can seem unbearable in an instant. I think that its important for us to have "flexible" outlets that we can turn to when we end up in a funk and it seems like it takes all the energy and concentration we can muster to keep up with the more rigid commitments of everyday life (school, work, etc.). Maybe I'm off, but I think that this place should be the first place we can turn to for a little 'soft' support and where we can rest quietly on the sidelines when we're in need of a little regrouping and find comfort in reading the posts and realizing we are not alone. There are so many things in life that we have to struggle with as people with BP and this is the place where we can breathe a little easier and realize that we aren't in this alone and that we can all take turns when the 'yuckies' are making their rounds.

Hope that the search for some different meds is successful and that things are a little brighter for you in the next few weeks,

Laura we miss you and are thinking about you. I hope you are able to get better, or be better in whatever it is you are doing. Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for always supporting us  here with Bipolar and having it yourself is very important , in the understanding department. Take care Nickie smurf .

thanks everyone for your kind words. still trying to get out of this depression. I think the change in season is not helping my cause any. I guess if I don't get out of it soon I will really have to see about getting back on lamictal.

Hi laura, first I totally understand what you are feeling, trust me.

I am curious tho, why are you not starting it now?  You know it takes a good while to become therapeutic, right?   It will help, helps almost everyone who takes it and has a stabilizing effect also, keeping you from going too low, esp useful in fall/winter.

Laura feeling you sweetie. It's a rough time for me as well. Sleep messed up, nightmares like Sandy, and just stressed. This morning i woke up and I said my usual this will be a good day, all the while knowing it wont. Pretending is getting old, but I have no choice. I am feelin the weather as well. It's like the clouds  look gray with no rain or anything, it's so terrible. Take care sweetie. We will be fine but also need you to get better as well!                   Nickie
