I went to the head dr for my losing words, so he told me to go off to Lamtrgine it could be making
memory loss. and the head dr wants to give memory medicein in stead?????????????
I don't what to do....?







Can anyone ideas what to do please????/

I just started this and this is scary, my memory already sucks and I don't need help from a medication I'm taking. I will for sure be watching this.

I guess the choice is yours, if you can deal with the memory loss and stay on the lamotringe, or go off it and see if it gets better. How well was the lamotringe working for you?

Lamictal is a very stabilizing med for me. It does mess with my memory a little but my memory has never been that great anyway. Lamictal has greatly helped me but it's not for everyone. Almost every med has side effects. I also take geodon and one of the side effects is weight gain and yes I have gained15 pounds but I've made peace with that because helps me so much.

Lamictal, as I mentioned in another comment, made me feel terrible. It messed with my brain functions a lot. Memory, my ability to speak clearly and remember words, concentration, focus...all were completely messed up by lamictal. So far, Latuda has been working well tho. Maybe that's an option for you.
