Today my son told me that he tried pot for the first time at a party. At first I was bad but then I remembered of all the times I told my kids they could come to me for anything and tell me the truth and I wouldn't get mad. I remembered that and it made me thankful that he did come to me. He said that it was nothing and that he didn't want to ever try that again and he never wanted to be around that kid again. He even showed me the text messages that the kid was sending trying threaten him and treat him like crap for not wanted to do it or to even care. I'm so glad that I've been doing the right thing. I was even told by my brother-in-law that I looked healthy and that I seemed to be doing better. That meant so much to me. I never realized what a mess I was to people when in my mind I thought I was doing okay.

Thank you so much cilly! It's times like these that make it all worth it. You never know what you children's choices are going to be until that time comes. Plus they realize that we are not going to punish them when they comes to us honestly before all the lies and before someone else tells us. Now if it happens again there will be consequences.
Thank you too UA!! You especially know all the ups and downs I've been getting lately. This coming Wednesday my daughter and I are having a girls day. She's going to get her hair trimmed and layered, get her nose re-pierced since when she was at school she had to keep taking it out and then she forgot to put it back in and it kinda closed. Now that she is going to a technical school for her Junior and Senior year they don't care. Then we are going to the mall and shopping at Victoria Secret's and Bath and Body Works. It will be so much fun!

Hey thanks UA! I got all my billing done and got signed up with Weight Watchers. Now I just need to get everyone ready and then we are off. I'm so excited. I hope you enjoy your day and I hope it's a nice one. Try to do something you like today.

Thanks. My depression seems to be kicking in since Monday so I'll be off in bed soon.
Hope your daughter had a good time today. I'm sure she enjoyed being pampered by you and shopping.
Good Luck with Weight Watchers!

I hope you go talk to your doctor and try to adjust your meds. That is the best way to go for me. I do hope you get better. Nobody needs to be down in the dumps.
Well I'm trying to get a refund on my Weight Watchers app because it won't let me do anything on my phone. So I sent them an email to see if I can get my money back. I found an app that can do almost the same thing for free. I'll order a Weight Watchers book that has all the restaurants.

Ohh, I'm sorry it's not working. I hope they would refund you. I'm glad you found a new app. Good Luck with it! Hope it goes well.

Yeah!! They did refund me. I just have to wait 6-8 business days. I hate how I pay promptly and then they take their time paying me back. Not fair. Oh well, at least I'm getting my money back.
My husband woke me up at 6 am. So I was wide awake. I decided to talk down my road before it rains. I finished 3 miles. YEAH!!
How are you feeling today? I hope you feel better.

Yea, that sucks... Having to wait.
3 miles... That's great. How's kayaking? Haven't heard you mention it in a while.

Every time I've wanted to go kayaking it's either raining or I have tons of laundry to do. I'm thinking tomorrow I will go. I feel bad because my son will be by himself. I know he would love to go but I only have one kayak. I wish I could get my mom's kayak and then him and I could go. She will come up with something and make a big deal of it. I'll see how tomorrow goes.

No, it's officially summer. We are getting ready for our big 4th of July party. That's the one thing that we do as a family and friends. It's a lot of fun..
Well we came up with a plan for today. If my mom won't let us borrow her kayak so me and my son can go together then I'm letting use mine. He can't go far, but he can at least paddle around and have fun. Then afterwards he has to go walking with me. He said that was fine. Yeah. I still get to workout of some sorts.
What is it like where you live? I forget where you said you live? In Ohio it is either raining or snowing. Then in between it's when it's really nice. It always seems like winter lasts forever and summer just flies by. We even have bumper stickers that say "Stuck In Ohio". Funny stuff.

Nice! It does sound and look fun. Each year we hear about
it in the news and they show us little highlights.
I"m from Trinidad (Caribbean). We only have 2 seasons here, the dry/sunny season which runs from Jan to June and the wet/rainy season from July to Dec. The rainy season has started already though. We are getting more rain than sun these days.
I've never experience snow yet. But it's on my list so hopefully one day. Snow looks really nice on TV and in pictures.
It sounds like you have a nice day plan with your son. I think he will enjoy just spending time with you. Have a great day out!

It was a great day today! My mom never got back to me in time so I let my son go kayaking and I my girlfriend and her kids met me there and we had a picnic. Then we went for 3.49 mile walk. Then we came back to my house and went swimming. It helped her get things off her back and relax and I had awesome company to be with.
Holy cow! Is it like a rain forest kind of atmosphere? Snow is nice but after awhile you get sick of being cold and when the windchill is in the negatives. Then it's terrible and you don't want to go anywhere.

Sounds like a great day indeed.
Lol. A bit, but sometimes we have days of sunshine or rainy days or mixed days. It's not that bad. I don't like to drive in the rain though. We have tropical climate here.

I was planning to go bike riding with my son tomorrow but I just looked at the weather and it's supposed to rain all day. At least we got to enjoy the day today.
I'm sure it would be fun to enjoy since we don't have that here. Just as you would probably enjoy the snow since you never get that there. It sounds strange yet funny.

True.
It's nice. We have a lot of tourist attraction sites. Many people from countries where it snows enjoys the warn weather here.
I hope you to have a nice day with your son today and the weather wasn't too bad. It started off sunny here but then we had a heavy shower of rainfall around lunch time, but the sun came back out this evening.

Didn't get to go bike riding. I ended up going on the elliptical for 25 minutes and some crunches. My stomach started aching later on the day. Today I'm still debating whether I want to do the elliptical or not. This might be my one day not to exercise. I have been doing something everyday. Tomorrow I weigh in to see how my results are. I was thinking that if I lose 2 lbs a week then by the time I have my physical I will have lost 30 lbs. That would be nice. Here's hoping.

I think setting small goals are more realistic. This is a great start!
I'm sorry about
you stomach ache. Maybe 25 mins was too much. How is it now? I hope you are feeling better today.

Well I weighed in today and it says I gained 3 lbs. What the heck!! I'm going to drink more water and see if I can't flush this fat out of me. I'm going to talk to my NP to see if there is something else I can do since some of my meds say they could put on weight.
My stomach feels better. I think it was me trying to eat more on my free day and I was getting used to eating lighter meals. Oh well, I'm going to walk a lot today before it rains.

Ohhh noo, I'm sorry about
the weight gain. It could be the meds. Maybe you can try working on maintaining your current weight and then on losing. I think talking to your NP is a good idea.
Have a good walk today!

Well my friend seems to think that if I had any muscle growth that this would be why since muscle weighs more than fat. My friend came over and we walked for over 4 miles. It seemed to go by pretty fast when you are talking with someone.
On a different note my daughter went to her therapist appointment and it went really well. She's so happy that she's doing so much better. She's glad that we have been doing things together and working. Plus spending time with her boyfriend is always a good time.

Oh yes, sometimes you may have weight, but it's muscle weight and not fat. In that case I think it's healthy.
I'm underweight. Send me some of the weight you don't want. I'll take your extra lbs to make up my weight. Lol
