OMG Philip! What was going thru your mind when you did that? How long had you felt THAT bad?????? I am sooooooooo sorry; but yes, thankfully it didn't work. Are you ok physically after that? How long were you in the hospital?
Yeah, don't EVER do that again, if you're that bad aggressively seek different/radical treatment, go to the hospital immediately if things aren't working; your daughters would be sooo messed up for the rest of their lives, please do think of that even when it's really really bad. I know how you feel, because I was there at one point. It was the worst feeling anyone can possibly imagine, but the one thing that kept me alive was my precious husband and what it would do to him, he would always blame himself and would never get rid of the image in his mind of finding me dead in our home. Or seeing me dead, anywhere of my own volition. Can you imagine? That can usually keep you going, and also remember, bipolar episodes are temporary, even when they are unbearable. Nothing is permanent with us, except the illness itself.
Ok, lecture over, I'm so glad you posted to let us know what has been going on. Please stick around for support, Philip, ok? We're pretty good for that, and we ALL need support, especially during the hardest times, it's key.
Thanks for writing, please keep us "posted" so to speak.
