Hey how’s everyone doing ?
I’m new to the bipolar side. Spent years over in the depression forum till i was newly diagnosed. I’m basically just saying hi. I like reading about
how others overcome and deal with their lives. I finished a major manic cycle and things are slowing down. A little too much.
I started taking Olanzapine—— small dose, anyone else on it ? I hate the weight gain side effect, a lot, but am Still gunna give it a shot for a bit. I do wake up everyday with incredible pain and soreness in my feet and ankles that goes away within minutes and also just seeing if anyone has experienced anything similar ?
Thanks,
Oranged -
Hope ur Wednesday is a
Good one !

Hi Oranged,
Welcome to the Bipolar forum
!
I hope the Olanzapine is working for you. I have never used this.I was on Pristiq for a short period, but now I am off it.
Is the pain and sore ankles side effects from the Olanzapine?

Thanks for writing back.
Not sure, but i stopped the olanzapine anyway. Had a lot of weight gain on it too.
Back on resipirodole And Pristiq and my other meds. Some
Horrible depressive symptoms are with me now and I felt i needed a change, and quick. I didn’t think the sadness, loss of will power and low energy would sweep me so hard so fast but it has. Totally sucks !
Found this little
Clip on youtube that somehow helps
To describe me a bit https://youtu.be/eqCS0774HII
Suppose
To leave for a weekend away with family in a couple
Of
Hours and really just wanna stay under the covers but that doesn’t help me
Either. Trying to listen to my own advice ... hard
To do !
Take care

Oranged, I happen to catch the part about
feet & ankle pain when waking up. This happens to me when I have not kept myself well hydrated. Just wanted to post this to you.

olanzapine a good anti psychotic, however more dulling. maybe lamotrogine that has anecdotally less side effects, bar johnsons. it works as a foundation med and supports pristiq well. it is not dulling as it an anti epileptic and helps with mania real well. keep strong.

Hi hi. Thanks for writing . Yeah i discontinued the olanzapine and went back to respirodole at night time.
I’ll ask my dr about
the one you mentioned. Unfortautely when I’m not completely dull I’m fully
Anxious. And wish to be completely dull but then i never get anything done productively besides watching tv.
I hate this part. A lot .

Hang in there Oranged!
Sometimes the meds takes time before they start working. Sometimes we may need a dosage or combination adjustment.
I hope things will get better for you.
