Those with mental health issues are often helped by the advice therapists and psychiatrists give them.
But if mental health providers want to help those seeking their services with good advice, it helps if their clients/patients are actually able to understand what they're telling them.
Some mental health providers often talk too fast, which is a real problem, especially for those with hearing issues or concentration issues.
If you see a psychiatrist or therapist and you can't always follow what they're saying because they're talking to fast for you, be assertive and tell them to slow down. And if they continue to talk too fast, keep telling them to slow down until they slow down on a consistent basis.
Their advice won't help you if you can't understand and comprehend the advice they're giving. Hence, it's your right to be able to talk and listen to a provider who doesn't talk too fast.
