I posted ( a while back) about the side effects I was having with Abilify. I had to cut a 2 mg pill in 4 in order to have less side effects. It took a long time but I have been on 2 mg a day for 2 weeks and all is well.I will be staying at 2 mg per day until it has to be increased..Such a long adjustment period for such a small pill!!!!!

Might be small but powerful.
Seems it been worth it....trial n error is crucial with meds. HT

Hello,

I have been on abilify for over a month. Just increased to 2 mg's daily a few weeks ago. I noticed that I seem to be in a bad mood more often and am wondering if you experienced this as a side effect. I struggle with bad mood including irritability and agitation anyway off and on but seems to be more persistent now. Not sure if it's just me or the meds. I also take a low dose antidepressant and felt I was on the right track with just that.

It's not the dose....
Seems it but it is the uptake time of meds. Full efficacy is 6 -8 werks. Keep tweeking and talking with ya shrink.
Keep 💪.

P.s. yes the tweeking up will increase the uotake however we all have our ootinal efficacy levels. Same with all...anti dep may need a tweek. Yes the abilify is more quicker being an anti psychotic but with all give it time. HT

Thank you HT. You're right. Patience and tweaking doses up or down is the way. I may have my antidepressant slightly increased in the next few weeks. You're right it does take time for these things to work. It's my first time using an antipsychotic so I'm learning. I'm only familiar with antidepressant experiences.
