ive had four courses of ect 4 to go yesterday high as a kite back down today not working yet but i am hopeful.

I have been curious about ECT for some time now....what is the experience itself like? Are you conscious during? Does it hurt at all ? How long are the sessions? Any noticible side effects? And my last question what prompted you and your doctor to take this course of action? L know its very recent since you started so I understand if you cannot answer all, but anyone that has had ECT is welcome to chime in with a comment.

Hope you don't mind all the questions but I have not had the chance to chat with someone that has done ECT before...

Hi there --

Sounds like things could be beginning to improve Gaz. -- I *hope* so -- you've really been through the mill. How does this pattern relate to your previous ECT treatments? (Yes Sunshiny, Gaz is a great person to ask about this because he's had ECT treatment in the past too!)

i don't know what i can tell you except that we care about you and hope and pray that this round will be your last. you have been through enough for several lifetimes.
