      hello everyone.................sorry to have been away so long, but i had a million things going on.  i just felt like i had reached the end of my rope.

 

    so here is how i am now.   jan. 23rd i was officially diagnosed as bipolar, and i am trying to ajust to the meds.  keeps me tired at time and others times i am just totally wired.

 

    i do have one question.......... has anyone here ever been on Geodon? if so did it mess up your vision? i can barely see thru my reading glasses .......... oh and i have already got in touch with my doc. i was just curious as to haw it affected other people.

welcome back.  we missed you and i missed your energy..  you have so much life about you that it rubbs off on me.  thank you.

my pdoc thought that i was a lot worse than i was and rxed me a bunch of anti-psychotic meds.  geodon was one of htem.  i can't say that it any single drug, but i was zombied out.  it was a catch 22:  because i was zombied out, he thought i was psychotic and kept rxing the drugs.  finaly his np looked at me and said, "you're oer prescribed."  i said, "thank you for noticing."  (even zombied out i have a wiers sence of humor and a barbed tongue).

Hi there athmlldy , welcome back....it's nice to hear from you :-)

Unfortunately abnormal vision is a common side effect of Geodon , that is all I know.....but please inform your doc that you are experiencing these symptoms - they may well have a way of treating this or another drug to replace the Geodon.

Hi Ath,

I will pray for you. When I took Topamax, I developed "high occular pressure" or "occular hypertension." Basically, I am "glaucoma suspect" and will need to be tested the rest of my life. Make sure that you get a referral to an opthamologist.
