just diagnosed with bipolar where to go from here

hey everybody i was just diagnosed with postpartum psychosis and also bipolar disorder type 1 i have been put on two medications Lamictol and risperdal I want to know if anyone else is on the same medications?

i am on different meds. but also newly diagnosed. just wanted to say hi and let you know your not alone.

Hi Angelz, you must be having a hard time. I have a toddler. The post-baby years are HARD, but it will get better. Welcome. Serafena.

Welcome Angelz,

I was on Lamictal for almost 2 years in the past, but not Risperdal (Dr. put me on Abilify instead). I have been on other various antipsychotics though. Sorry I can't be much help.

Lamictal is a good medication, just not the one for me. I'm on Lithium and Geodon at the moment.

As Serafena said, things get better over time. Hang in there!

Lamictal is a wonderful drug.
