Hey, I am new to healingwell.com  I have been diagnosed with bipolar but it does not seem to be agreed on by the different doctors I have seen.  Doctors seem to have different opinions, who knows, mabe I am mabe I am not.  no one seems to agree.  oh well what do you do.

I too wanted to welcome you to the forum. I agree with Serafena on what she wrote in the other post. It describes the different bipolar types. Hopefully things will work out soon on your end. Please keep us updated and do not hesitate to post on other things.

hey every one went to my psychiatrist today i asked what my diagnoses was he said i was schizoaffective with anxiaty disorder and PTSD.  I am looking it up on the internet

are you any kin to 7 of 9? (if you miss this reference, don't feel bad. it's from star trewck voyager.) I was first diagnosed with basically the same rx. i didn't believe it, so i asked a couple of psychiatrists (shrinks) that i know what this diagnosis meant. all three of them told me that this is a non-diagnosis and in generallly used then the dr eitheher doesn't know exactly what is wrong or just doesn't want to cope with the dsdm.

in addition to the psychiatrist, i was also seeing a psychologist (apparently statistics show that patients rtespond better with both chemical and talk therapy) who confirmen my friends' opiunions. he and i pulled out his copy of the dsdm (the "bible" for diseases) and went throgh the list of symptomd for psychoaffective and bp. i met almost of the criteria for psychoaffective but almost all of the criteria for bp. if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, would you call it a duck or chopped liver?
