ovarian cyst & new classes

i go see my gyno today about this cyst. i'm kinda nervous. my tummy's been hurting the past few days; idk if it's the cyst or if i'm just nervous.

i also have to go schedule my classes for fall. i'll be a freshman in college, wow.

have to wait until the end of august for a med change, though, and i'm afraid my hair will all fall out before then! =(

today does not feel like it will be very fun.

question for you closure.

initially i had reeeeally severe pain on my right side, where my ovary would be, i guess. i thought it was another kidney stone (i had had problems with my right kidney before) so i saw my urologist. he said he was not a urological problem at all and ordered me an ultrasound, which discovered a cyst. surprisingly, though, the cyst is on my left ovary, and i was feeling severe pain on my right side. lately my left side has been hurting occasionally, but never as severe as that initial pain that made me see the doc in the first place. that night i was crying, i curled up into a ball and couldn't move for about ten minutes, then (since i thought it was a kidney stone passing or something) i sat on the toilet and cried and cried and cried because it hurt soo soo sooooo bad. my mom actually gave me a percocet, but it didn't take the pain away completely. so now i've had this bad pain on my right ovary but no cyst showed up on the ultrasound. gyno said it could have burst already on the right but there's really no way to tell, so he doesn't really know if that's what was causing my pain.

hmmm...tough one. our bodies are definitely confusing and difficult to figure out at times. are you still having the pain on the right side? if not it might have been a cyst that burst like your doc suggested. if you're still having the pain though make sure you let your doc know and keep documentation.

kind of off topic, but something that I've been wondering/worried about...you mentioned your mom gave you a percocet. were you prescribed percocet or is it someone else's prescription? the other day when you were bad you mentioned she gave you some kind of benzo or whatever to calm you down...can't remember the exact name...again was this your prescription? I may be way off base and I apologize if I am, but if your mom is giving you pills that aren't prescribed to you it can be very dangerous. I just keep getting this feeling that they're not your pills. like I said I may be way off base. I understand your mom wanting to help, but it can be bad. it's just some in my family believe in sharing prescriptions and I have seen what can happen if you take someone else's prescription. doc's prescribe based on weight, age, health, symptoms, and based on the meds you're on already. if these aren't your prescriptions they could interact with your actual meds or make you sick since they weren't based on you. just something to think about. *hugs*
