Poodles, It is also my belief that a person with BP does better as soon as they are willing to see, acknowledge and OWN their own behavior and not put the onus of it on another. It sounds like you are there and can see how your condition plays out and what it must be like on the other side. By doing this, you are already seeing the overall picture and now all you have to work on is the actual work for yourself. You are no longer using up energy denying what is real. I think THAT actually helps BP's a lot. Good for you Poodles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help me out everyone....is that true? When you finally own your condition, and don't waste time on shame, denial...etc., it frees you up to just focus on learning techniques for the behavior modifications or "overrides" of the impulses? You become better at observing yourself and can make better choices, and know when adjustments to meds are needed quicker? While my H is not really there YET....I still have hope that one day he will be! At least when he is willing to see himself a little clearer, or commit to watching himself closer for a time...things DO improve A LOT around here!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah for therapy...we are in one of those moments now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LFW
