Hello,

 

my name is Aicha,from Serbia.

 

Two months ago, I found out I'm bipolar. I'm still in denial,but doctor says that I came in right time and I'll probably be fine.

 

My family is big support and they gave me idea to visit this forum and talk to people who are dealing the same thing.

Welcome to HealingWell and to the bipolar board. All the way from serbia! I'm sorry to hear about your new diagnosis, but this board is full of people in the same position, or people living with bipolars, so you're in the right place.

Are you on any medications or seeing any therapists as treatment for your bipolar?

It's nice to meet you Serafena, but I'm sorry it's not in other way :-(
Yes I'm seeing therapist and taking ephtil, bromazepam and sometime something light for my sleep (I'm not sure about medication names)!
I didn't look,where are you from?

aicha,

I too wanted to welcome you to HealingWell and to the Bipolar Forum. As Serafena said there are a lot of people here who have been through what you have been, and you will find this place to be a good place for support.

Also, I wanted to let you know that ephtil is known as Depakote here in the US. How are you with the meds, I hope it is working well for you. You are on the right track with therapy and medication. Your symptoms can be managed easier that way. Please do not hesitate to to keep posting about your feeling, and know it gets better with time.

Welcome aicha. Well it sounds like you are off to a good start in dealing with bipolar. It is a bummer to learn you haave it, but you can live a normal life if you take care of yourself, and stay on your meds. I hope to hear more from you. Me...I am in California.
