Dear Songster,
So glad to hear that
you
have been feeling so good for the last 6 months.
It's not that I have the nerve to drink or asking to trade real life for any drug high, including alcohol as you state. I am just ignorant on this subject and was asking in all seriousness.
I am new to this Bipolar crap and wanted some advise from people who have been there.
Obviously I am not where you are at! Sounds like you got
EVERYTHING
together. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar only 2 months ago. I am not stablized yet on my medications and sometimes alcohol just gets me to where I
NEED
to be at the time,....either to just unwind and chill out or to just jump start my depressed mood.
I am working with my doctor on the proper adjustment of my medications so that I don't feel the need to look for alcohol to help me get through things. I am not just stablized
YET!
Sounds like you think I am a real idiot. At least that is how you came across to me.
I appreciate everybody else who replied to my post and took me seriously and understood where I was coming from.
Sincerely, Sukay
