I don't mean so sound negative, but I expected nothing less, than to hear "nothing" about
Mental Illness Awarness Week. I knew about
it, I'm sure a lot of us did. A short story.....Last week, bf and I went to my favourite bookstore, thought being there and getting a book would cheer me up. The depression was so deep and dark. A young guy who works there and has seen me before, asked me (when I got to the counter to pay) "What's wrong, you look sad?" And he didn't mean anything other than concern, but I am sure the last thing he suspected, was depression. And I thought to myself (as I lied and replied, "nothing, the weather...." and tried to smile at him) if I were sick with a cold, or something, I could say that aloud. But I could't respond, I'm depressed, I have a mental illness.............
