Hi!
I've been bi-polar for so long that I may hold the world record for roller coaster riding.
I joined for advice in another forum, and thought I'd peek in here to lend advice and support to those who are struggling.
I know this is a disorder that can be fatal, and came close twice. I am no believer in anti-depressants for that reason.
Fortunately I have found that the anti-convulsant group of medications work really well for me.
I have also found a PsD who understands the relationships between opiates/endorphins and how highly fit athletes can self-medicate with peak-exertion exercise.
Right now, the most difficult thing for me is getting used to being happy.

Hi taytay,
Welcome to HealingWell and to the bipolar board. Why not start a new thread and tell us a little bit about
yourself?
