I have always been told to take my lamictal in the mornings, but have had a very hard time sleeping lately. Last night, I took my lamictal at bedtime and went to sleep immediately.

I always take mine at night -- always have. That's what my doc said to do. If it works for you, I say go with it.

Mine in mornings. Lamictal gives me a kind of subdued coffee-like bump only a bit different. Like 10fold I'm afraid it would keep me up at night.
Another mood stabilizer, Seroquel, just knocks me out and for me is superior many times over to Ambien. I don't take Ambien any more.
Probably depends on your body and brain chemistry. When I read side effects on some of these drugs some of the drugs appear to affect some people in one manner and others in the opposite manner.
Just be thankful you sleep at night!

There's a chance it can make you drowsy so my Dr suggested I take it at night before bed. I usually take it any time after 5pm.

I see my counselor tomorrow and will ask about
taking my Lamictal at nighttime and taking a higher dosage. I am going through some rough spots right now and feel like I need the extra medication.
