Today I filled out the paperwork to apply for student disability

I'm only two weeks into the fall semester and I have already been suicidal twice, i have been completely breaking down every night because I have no free time to relax or do anything for myself and I have just been in absolute hell. I'm getting a doctor's note on Friday and then I go back and discuss what accommodations they can give me. they told me disability is confidential and when I apply for my RA job they won't even know about it. i'm also withdrawing from one class because I cannot handle the work load. Already I feel a little better but today I have class and work and then tomorrow class all day and saturday my boyfriend wants to take the bus into the city (3 hours on a bus roundtrip) and meet up with friends. I honestly don't think I'm well enough to go but I don't want him to go alone so I have to come. :(

When you withdraw from your class try talking to the disabilitly office first. You may be able to take a medical withdrawl. Then it won't count against you in the future. Most states have a limited number of classes that you can withdraw from, this should help.
I've been going thru the disability office for 2 years now and with the exception of one professor it's made getting thru school a lot easier. I receive extra time on exams and sometimes projects. I often suffer from long bouts of depression and cry at the drop of a hat. I get to leave without explination and if I can collect myself I return if not I Email my professor and work from home when I feel it's best.
