Today I (finally) got my grandma's grand piano.  The one my mom learned to play piano on.  (She has a Masters of Music now, FWIW)

I have missed having music in the house so much that I would drive a 2-hour round trip just to play one at my parents' place!

Just knowing that it is THERE when I need it is soothing.  It's beautiful and completely changes that character of this house.  I should show before and after photos since I've moved in with my fiance!

When I was manic - in high school - I played music so much between flute, oboe, and piano that I got a nice little carpal tunnel thing going on.

And less than 24 hours of having a piano in the house, my wrist is stinging.

I swear I am not manic! I'm working on learning a new piece that is just the right dificulty for me. It's like putting a puzzle together and I love it.

I'm frustrated that I damaged myself so badly while manic that a decade later I'm still physically limited by it.

I wanted to share a photo. A year ago this was the most depressing room ever! Yucky scuffed white walls (not scrubbable!), dirty off-white carpet, ugly red fake-lace curtains, old lady floral wallpaper border. Ick. My surroundings DO impact my state of mind.

Here is my new living room. It has been 2 years of baby steps, but I'm slowly getting the space that I need to feel well.

You have very fluffy bunnies! Rabbits in Aussie are all short haired. :)

No worries snooping, lol. I wouldn't post a link if it bothered me. Those are French Angora rabbits. They're not considered a "rare breed" but they are fairly hard to find and a little pricey.
