There are lots of coping skills that may or may not work for you. But grief will just take the time it will take, you cant rush it, you cant go around it, you have to accept it and work thru it.
I have found buddism, and acceptance. I accept that i will make mistakes, that so will others, that i will accept that i am human with a serious problem. Acceptance is the path to happiness. Look at any dog, they accept what the world gives them, and dont spend time wishing for things to be different from what they are.
Just give the grief time to run its natural course.
