FOr me keeping active is very important, as is keeping a clean house. I set aside certain chores i need to do every day, be they little or big i allways get at least one a day done. I use a white board on my refrigerator and write down chores i want to get done. Then i can cross them off as i finish them so i feel a sense of progress.
ALso i listen to talk radio (i know boring) when i work. It allows me distraction but not enough to keep me from finishing my work.
Also exersise. Walk every day, pushups, situps, squats, all those things are great for your well being. I do believe that a healthy body can help promote a healthy mind.
Get out with the puppies. Dogs are natural joy machines, and have no fear of appearing goofy. They will play with you and have a great time. Thor loves the chase game, he picks up a toy and i hae to chase him around the yard. Then he stops, and i start running and he catches me. Its running for the pure joy of running.
Make the most of your time off, its a great time to heal and collect your thoughts. Yo have had some emotional stuff lately, you need time to deal with it. THe natural world is a great way to sort it all out.
