Hi gaz, sorry I have no experience with hospitals for the treatment of BP only for alcohol. I admitted myself twice yrs. ago. Anyhow I am all for people going in to the hospital for treatment to get well no matter what their illness is. My question is that you say "go in often" , so does it really help? I guess that can be looked at in two ways. Does that make sense? Yes, because you keep going back, or no because they should be giving you some alternatives to help yourself outside of their facility. Do you go to therapy , or a support group? When you go to the hospital is it because your meds don't work, and you just hit bottom with your depression? I'm asking alot of questions becasue I am trying to understand the hospitals position, long-term and short-term? Please let me know if you don't mind, I am very inquisitive and lack knowledge in this area?! I too am BP.
