My psych nurse has prescribed it as needed for sleep. It doesn't make me sleep, but it helps just enough. I use it when I am stressed and having nightmares. Somehow it prevents me from having (or remembering?) nightmares. I take 50 to 150 mgs.
I have no noticeable side effects from it as long as I take it early enough in the evening that it wears off by morning. I take it for a couple days in a row when my coping skills aren't enough to help with my stress level.

Thanks so Much I guess my most fear of it is Restless Legs. As I stopped the seroquel and no longer have Restless legs...

I take 200 mg a night, for sleep, but I have other meds added for sleep as Trazadone doesn't work alone for me. And it gives me very vivid nightmares.
Good luck to you.
