Sometimes meds usually take some time to work. They also work differently for everyone. People usually have to try different meds and different dosages before they find the right combinations and dosages.
Therapy usually helps together with meds. If possible, please try to seek some counseling. This will help you. Posting here does help as well.
I usually try things to distract myself such as deep breathing, reading inspiration books or any novels, watching movies, listening to music and keeping a journal to write how I feel. I also practice mindfulness as it helps a lot. Feel free to try these to anything you enjoy. It can help you.
