Hi All! I'm back from my weekend away. Had a great time with my son and family. Had a barbeque which I always enjoy and I just relaxed on the farm for the rest of the weekend. Very tranquil. My grandchildren have grown, especially the baby. He's so adorable. Hope you all had a good weekend too. Enjoy the week that lies ahead!

I know you must be very sad thinking of Irene who would have had a birthday today. Be strong my friend. I know it can't be easy for you.

Been busy yesterday and today. Helped serve food and beverages at 2 funerals. Quite hectic but I'm glad I could help out. Done my good deeds for the week. Came home and took the challenge of writing a poem. I don't think I did too bad considering this was my first time. Proud of myself.

Hi all! The year end function I planned was a huge success. It was so great barbequing yesterday with the leaders of our department at church. Had tons of fun with the team building. The weather was perfect too. So nice to just sit and relax and visit with everyone. The afternoon was awesome. *UA hope all went well at the memorial service.

Posted on a previous thread. The service went well. All muscles ached after... We almost didn't get the cakes, but it worked out last minute.

Couldn't sleep last night. Felt hypomanic. Ended up taking a second sleeping pill. Still didn't help much. Slept for only 3 and a half hrs. Usually sleep for 9 hrs. Felt like staying in bed today but had too much to do so I forced myself to get up and get busy. Feeling a bit more awake after a cup of coffee. My oldest son is moving to my youngest son who lives a few hrs from us, tomorrow. He's coming to say goodbye later. Tomorrow my husband has been asked to play guitar and sing a few songs at a function for senior citizens. Busy weekend again! Keep well all!

Hi all! My son moved on Friday. Got to his destination safely. The function went well where my husband had to sing a few songs. I had a good weekend generally. Caught up on my sleep! How were your weekends? Hope you are all having a good start to your week. Keep well.

Had a great morning. My friend took me out for a treat. Had a milkshake and a slice of lemon meringue tart. Simply delicious. Not good for my insulin resistance I know but what the heck. Sometimes I have to compromise.

Milkshake... Yummy!!!

I think it's okay to have a little something once in a while although it may be bad for us health-wise. You need a little break sometimes.

Hi all! My day trip with my husband was great. It actually was a business trip but it was so beautiful riding amongst the mountains. We had a delicious lunch at a restaurant in the countryside. It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy myself. Today the whole congregation barbequed together after church. It was most enjoyable and lots of fun. Had a lovely weekend!
