Ladies and Gentlemen,
Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and give you a little background on me. I've been married to my wife for 9 years and she has within the last 18 months been diagnosed BP2. We have 4 children and have recently moved back home for me. The kids and I are extremely happy with the move and doing great. My wife decided to come with us. We have been seperated once when I found out about the multiple affairs she had during her Mania phases. I have searched my soul and am trying to fully forgive her for the many indiscretions she has had, and we got her on the right meds which took 2 suicide attempts and an intervention to get her to stay in the hospital until she was better. The meds have done wonders to stabalize her mood swings and even the kids see Mom coming back. She has done great, got a job and for the most part became a member of the family again.
I hope to gain more insight into this disorder so that I can be more supportive of her and avoid the heartbreak and pain the kids and I have endured to get back to where we are as a family.
