Hi Humrnv,
Remember to use your coping techniques. Checklist is a good idea. This way, when you feel this episode coming on, you have your checklist to use. Ensure you have a list of things you can do to keep occupied.
There are many things that can trigger mania. Try to look for your triggers so you will know them. You will be prepared and this way, you can avoid them. You can create a mood chart and keep it. hey can be extremely valuable in helping you recognize an episode. But no matter what, anticipating what is around the corner will allow you to prepare.
Sometimes, your meds may need adjusting, so be sure to mention this to your doc.
Take Care
