All this nausa and tiredness even the constipation, I've put down to the abilify.  Uh....I don't think so.  I just took a pregnancy test.  Very faint positive.  But positive without a doubt.  Now I realize at my age (i'm 41 for heavens sake) I may not maintain this pregnancy.  But I also don't feel comfortable taking meds until I can speak to my dr. AND an OB.  Anyone have any info on the safety of antitypicals on pregnancy.  I've already exposed the pregnancy to the meds and I'm very frightened.

I'm not even late for my cycle yet. And its always congrats even if I'm floored with surprise. My cycles have been so irregular and varried that I considered myself to be in the early stages of premenopause and unable to concieve. I've had six children and suddenly it clicked this morning what could have happened. I was kinda laughing at myself buying the test this afternoon. Apregnant old lady right! Maybe not such an inconcievable notion after all. I'll call my gyn tomorrow. Thanks for caring

Hi Ellie!

Jennifer asked me to do a bit of looking and my research on this says...according to the manufacturers of this drug, they said for you to notify your Dr. immediately.

So I'd call them in the morning first thing and let them know your great news! :) Congratulations to you All!!

I know. This may actually solve some of the issues with the husband though. He left me between 6 and 12 weeks in both my other pregnancys. I dont know if that makes me an evil pregnant woman or him just a jerk. Both maybe. I take whats given and make the best of it. I can't say there isn't a part of me thats not happy. (That part is not my stomach!). I'm mostly concerned about having to go off the meds. I'm not taking anything until I talk to an OB. I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'm sure god has his plans. JUst didn't tell me what they were. In this house theres always room for one more. At this rate we'll have hammocks hanging in the living room soon!

I didn't get a chance yet. My daughter had an orthodontist adjustment this morning and I zoned it out this afternoon. The office is closed now. I know they're going to tell me to quit all meds at least first trimester. I just can't take the risk. I'm at least going to try. I think the OB may send me to a Pdoc. Not sure. I've made it through six others med free. I'd like to do it again IF I CAN. I'm not writing anything in stone though. It's also still very early. I don't want to get my heart set on this, I've lost three and at my age I won't let my guard down for the first four months. Usually if I can get out of the first trimester I'm okay. Watch this be trips! lol.

23, 20, 13, 8, 5, 2 and a 14 year old stepson. I also have 5 and 1 year old grandsons and a 9 month old granddaughter.
Yes I will call the dr tomorrow. I don't want my younger kids to know yet and I didn't want to call in front of my daughter. My 20 year old knows but she can keep her mouth shut. I haven't even told my husband yet. Still deciding how to proceed with him.

So far so good. My older kids don't live with me, the two oldest are out on their own. Its just the thirteen year old and under (like thats not alot!) The stepson lives with us as well. Plus a mini daschaund, cat, hampster, and asst fish. Its a real zoo around here.
I've actually been making bread today. It seems to be one of the few things that don't upset my stomach. I'll take any excuse to eat homemade bread.

Yes. I was born here but have lived in WA, LA, AR, GA, WI and two states in Germany. Can you tell my ex was military? I absoultely hate moving but given the opportunity I would go back to WA or germany in a heartbeat!
I love fall. I can't wait for halloween. I refuse to let my kids be anything scary but I make extravagant costumes and enjoy it immensly. I welcome the cooler temps, and the coming holidays that represents. FUn Fun Fun!!!!
