I am glad that you have most things under control now. For your anxiety, I would suggest you try deep breathing. This helps. It tends to calm you and slow things down.
I am sorry for all the issues with your family. These things can contribute to how you feel. Alcohol is a depressant. It's just makes you feel better a temporarily. While after a hard day, it might help you relax, in the long run it can contribute to feelings of depression and anxiety and make stress harder to deal with. This is because regular, heavy drinking interferes with neurotransmitters in our brains that are needed for good mental health.
If possible, I would suggest you try some other ways to help you relax. You can talk to someone or even post here. Taking a walk outdoors or doing a little exercise can help.
