Tonight, well past witching hr I was thinking, well, I have bi polar, and rather happy about
it. You see I know from yrs of experience how to manage it. I live with it, don't have it (own it) but then strangely I would be indifferent, to only myself if I not lived with it.
Yeah, am fortunate, but because of acceptance pushing through the complexities of all the intrinsic elements, taking medication and seeing a shrink; not withstanding strengthening my mental health knowledge I have come to an understanding, that....I am. Not will be.
I need to sleep. Hot weather...and hotter today and the next few days.
Just felt like a post... something more on the creative elements, the intellectual elements of bi polar. We all have them.
May we all, those with bi polar, live with it, and suffer less with it. HT.

Well said. I've looked at my bipolar recently like that, also.
Would I give up the benefits of bipolar to get rid of the down side? No.

I have bi polar disorder. I've been on a drug called Clozaril since 2011, and I don't believe I've been manic since going on it.
And I get the blues every so often, like everyone else. But I haven't felt depressed much since going on this drug.
Clozaril isn't the only way I've been able to manage my disorder. Psychotherapy that I've received in the past has helped me as well. And setting as well as achieving realistic goals over the last number of years has worked for me too.
That's pretty much how I've been successfully managing my manic/depressive disorder, I'm glad to say. I don't just feel like I'm living with it. Instead, I'm living beyond it.

Hmm. Clozaril, known as clozapine, a powering anti psychotic that is mainly reserved for patients with schizophrenia.... interesting. A treatment usually when all else has failed. HT
