Many people who have struggled with mental illness elect to seek treatment for their illness.
And some of them in America must go on state disability while they're recovering, as they can't work full time at a job because of their issues.
But some of them are able to overcome their illness and get off being on disability, and are able to work full time once again.
However, some of them are unable to do so and must stay on disability for the rest of their lives.
Having to be on state disability for the rest of your life, to me, is not complete successful psychiatric treatment. To me, it's partial success.
But at the same time, I'm glad that many individuals are able to make progress in fighting their illness, even if they never fully recover and never are able to work full time once again. They are able to live happy, productive lives in spite of it.
