Sounds like a big step up. I haven't mentioned it here, but after not having been able to drive a car for about 25 years, about a month ago, that changed.
My ears got to where they could tolerate the motor, even at some of the 4-lane, around town speeds, and it was truly an experience.
So I know what you're talking about, being able to get back on your bike. It's a freedom you don't realize until you've been without it for awhile.
When I last was able to drive many years ago, I don't think I was on Lithium, which as you know calms down bi-polars in the area of mania, and almost every driver drove me up the wall. I did road rage a couple of times.
And so I was concerned when I went back to driving a car, I would be screaming at everybody. But it didn't happen. I can only attribute it to the Lithium. I'm actually trying to help the other drivers by letting them in, etc. If I think someone might be on my back bumper, I lower my head below the rearview mirror so I can't see them.
Yeah, getting out is a lot of fun. I'm trying to find a grocery store that the refrigerators drown out the functional music, because music gets my ears. The last big grocery store wore me out it was so big.
