Just got my booster shot today for Covid-19.
As mentioned in above post, I was gliding along for about a year after getting my first two Covid-19 shots wondering if I should get my third or booster shot.
When my neighbor told me yesterday he had Covid-19, and so did his wife, that he got it from his son whose wife and two children now have it, plus my neighbor's brother, it kind of cleared my thinking on this Covid-19 and whether I should get a booster or third shot.
Again, my neighbor is not a stat. He's my neighbor who cuts my grass, etc. Also, they say, do you know the person standing near you, like that lessens the chance that they just recently got Covid-19. It doesn't.
One person in the group, family, gets it, it can go through the group because signs of Covid-19 don't show for a couple of days, I've heard.
And there I am a senior citizen walking through a huge grocery store, with a mask, but without a care in the world who was a year late in getting his booster or third shot. I have a mask, an N95 which net says is the best because it greatly reduces germs from coming in from the side in addition to the front of the mask.
But I didn't have the third or booster shot for about a year. And there my neighbor is sick as a dog telling me from 10 feet away that he has the Covid-19 virus, and that the day before he was coughing so much he couldn't do anything because of that.
And I'm visualizing myself as a senior lying in bed, doubled over coughing with chances of surviving not as great as younger person's, do I really want the chance of that when all I have to do is get my booster or 3rd shot? Is that really fair to myself? No.
I got my booster today from Walgreen's drug store. With gusto!
Supposed to repeat another booster in 4 more months.
