The past rears its ugly head!

Oh Lazy, this is all too common -- but that doesn't make it right!! I've had this with my depression, and I still don't know what the "magic" solution is (anyone out there got the formula? --c'mon, stop hiding it!). I felt like I was being treated like an outcast and imbecile after one particularly bad period -- and what they just didn't get was that it took more effort than nmost of them expend in a *lifetime* of work just to keep myself functioning enough to even *be* at work during that time. Grr ... still makes me cross! Well, I know the frustration you have right now, and all I can say is that, in the wider scheme of things, people have fairly short memories. A year or so on and I am beginning to be treated normally again (no pitying looks or avoidance!). It takes time (and, if you're anything like me, you won't forget that treatment easily, you'll watch out for it, and you'll resent it like crazy! -- but even that's beginning to pass!), but it does seem to happen -- and I like to think that when those people reflect, they come to realise how narrow-minded they've been and become just that little more educated!!

I remember you saying about your last pdoc and his wife! Bleurgh! I'm very glad you're seeing a new one!! -- Hope it works out really well. -- Let us know!!
