Anyone get sweaty?

Despite the fact that this subject sounds like email spam, has anyone's medication made them hot? I started effexor last week and all of a sudden I can't have the air conditioning on high enough. I sweat all day long, no matter how cold everyone else is. Anyone else had that? I'm only 34. I don't think it could be (dum dum DUM...) THE CHANGE starting.

I just looked on drugs.com and saw increased sweating among effexor's "less serious" side effects. Grrr. I suppose I can live with it if effexor helps (which it just might be doing -- it's too early to tell) but it is seriously annoying. I look like a grease ball.

I am on Geodon, and for about a month of being on it I was sweating a lot, especially in my sleep. Over time, the symptom just went away.

Some meds have weird side effects, hopefully yours goes away.

I hope so too. It seems to be tapering off a little. I've been on it about a week now -- and no longer wondering if I'm in for a premature 5 years of hot flashes...

can't tell if it's doing anything for my mood yet, though. I'm still pretty dang depressed. Hope you're well.
