Cathi was so glad to hear about everyone thinking of her. Cathi had to do some testing to qualify for the trial. She was not able to do it on schedule, and has now completed the testing, and I am glad to say she passed. If she had a brain tumor they would not accept her. She was rescheduled to start on Feb. 14th. Ironically, it was also the date of her original diagnosis. She has been trying to build herself up to get ready for the trial, but I told her yesterday, that there was a post asking for her and she just was not up to posting and told me this morning she is waiting for the doctor to call and asked if I would send her love and thanks for all your thoughts. She really appreciates it. Thanks again so much.

Thanks for posting, Joyce. I believe it is time to fuel up the PCE and make a stop in Cleveland..I was in Wisconsin last week, NYC next and Atlanta the week after, so I'll just turn the plane right around and offer pink hugs and feathers and smooches to Cathi....Tavish is ready to fly as well, I'm going to Target today to get him some pink gear for the flight too (ok, not really)...

Initial boarding call for the PCE....anyone else coming along?

Hey , wait for me Lori. I still have my pink feather here next to me, I will be sure and put it in my hair for the flight. (-:
I hope that Cathi can feel us right next to her giving her hugs and lots of love.

Well......I'll have to come on the PCE.  I just cracked my little SUV up on a guardrail.

I am so glad to know Cathi qualified, that means good news especially concerning no brain tumors!!!!!! I'm ready to come along to wish her well and give support. Let's show them what good this new trial can do, Cathi!!!! I hope it is a great one for you and helps tremendously!!! Hugs MK

Ok Ladies, Pink Bubbly and pink boas and pink snow jackets and pink mucklucks. So glad Tavish is coming. Pink red baron scarves to be found at Target? Cathi will be so glad to see all of us. Welcome aboard Ellen. Sorry about your car but glad you are fine. This will be your first flight. I know you usually drive the stang. Geez, Cathi will love seeing all of us. Just like old home week. Her Onc is a female so we can drape her in a pink boa as well. So glad we can all get together to see her. All are welcome just grab some pink and join in. The only rules for PCE is wear pink and be silly. So grab your boas and jump aboard the PCE. For those of you that are new, we might not have met in person but if you are here you belong. Oh dear PCE, take me to Cathi as soon as you can. Let's all pray that this trial works beyond anyone's expectations. Cathi has had to go through so much since she joined us. She is really one of our greatest board heroes. I've tried to call several times but couldn't get her. Let her all know how much we miss her.

It's been a long time, folks. Sorry to have been AWOL so long. I've been busy working (planning to retire soon though). Actually I'm supposed to be working from home today (taking a break right now, LOL), because the weather turned crappy and I didn't feel like fighting it today. My work laptop is just to my left, frowning at me because I'm not tapping away on its keys, he he he. But since I forgot to bring home my power cord, the battery will die soon, and I'll just have to wing it from my home computer (no email from work, what a shame)!

Every once in a while I jump on HealingWell to see how everybody's doing, and was sad to see you're having more treatments, Cathi. Hope it goes well, and does some good for you.

I was also sad to see that you're having problems, MK. Hope they get resolved, or at least you find something that helps you get around easier.

And Lori, I'd love to come to the gathering to catch up with everybody, but I can't that weekend. I've kind of got all my travel budget spent anyway (going to Santa Fe/Albuquerque in April, Boston in May, and on an Alaska cruise in August -- then I have to stay home and work to pay for it all).

I have three pictures of my Breast Friends as part of my screen saver -- one from Las Vegas, one from Susan's funeral (me, Peggy, and Luci), and one of Susan, and MK that I think was taken at our second Myrtle Beach gathering. Keeps you all in my thoughts and my heart.
