Deep breaths. Microcalcifications MAY be an indicator that cancer is present, but not always. I am a not-always case in study. Mine were found four years after my lumpectomy under the incision scar. But, they were benign. It is important to follow up and find out what might be lurking underneath the calcifications. MRI should provide more answers. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
